Wir nutzen die unterirdischen Z\u00fcge geradezu selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, denken nicht viel dar\u00fcber nach. Doch wie funktioniert so eine U-Bahn \u00fcberhaupt? Stimmt es, dass die Wiener U-Bahnen auch ohne Zugf\u00fchrer fahren k\u00f6nnten? Wir, eine 6-k\u00f6pfige Gruppe U-Bahn-Interessierter, begeben uns nach Erdberg und gehen der Sache auf den Grund. Ein Lokalaugenschein.<\/p>\n<p>Die U-Bahnwerkst\u00e4tte der Wiener Linien in Erdberg scheint riesig. Dennoch wirkt sie f\u00fcr Passanten beinahe unsichtbar, liegt versteckt inmitten zweier Stra\u00dfen. Zwei freundliche Mitarbeiter der Wiener Linien begr\u00fc\u00dfen die kleine Gruppe, f\u00fchren uns durch die Werkst\u00e4tte. Uns wird durch die vielen neuen Informationen erst bewusst, welch\u2018 ausgekl\u00fcgelte Technik in den bis zu 80km\/h schnellen Z\u00fcgen steckt. \u00dcber die Funktionen der verschiedenen Kn\u00f6pfe und Hebel in der Zugf\u00fchrerkabine sind wir mittlerweile ebenfalls im Bild.
